HuntsNT Banteng Hunting

Banteng cattle are perhaps the most elusive and exclusive bovine animal on the trophy hunters’ wish list. Australia’s Northern Territory has the only herd in the world of wild free range banteng that can be legally hunted. The HuntsNT primary banteng hunting concession is in Arnhem Land and adjoins the national park on Coburg Peninsula. Banteng were introduced into Australia in 1849 and over the last 160 or more yearshave spread out from the national park to the east as far as the King River. The HuntsNT concession has the largest herd of free range banteng in the Top End. The amount and quality of feed has produced with the biggest banteng bulls in the NT and we have been able to take some world class banteng trophies for clients.

HuntsNT is one of only two hunting outfitters in Australia that have written legal agreements with the traditional landowners to hunt wild free range banteng. 

Banteng, the ultimate bovine hunt! As only a very limited number of banteng hunting permits are issued each season there can only be a handful of hunters that will have the rare privilege to hunt these very exclusive, prestigious and majestic game animals.  

In 2010 HuntsNT has been able to secure clients three top ten Safari Club International trophies.

The Banteng hunting season is from June to October. HuntsNT offer all inclusive rifle, bow and handgun hunting packages for 1 x 1 or 2 x 1 hunts. Banteng hunts can also be combined with Safari Club International Gold medal water buffalo hunts.
